I recently had the privilege of being the Director of Photography for our little film group, Memory Loss Films, for the Las Vegas 48 Hour Film Project. The way it works is pretty simple: You draw a genre out of a hat and if you decide to keep that genre you have 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, and render out a finished short film. There's a small catch to it. They give you a character, a prop that has to be used, and a line of dialogue that you have to fit into your script somehow.
